First Year Student Housing

We look forward to welcoming you to the MCPHS Residential Community this Fall!

Housing Options

The majority of first year students will live in double or triple bedrooms across our various residence halls. There are an extremely limited number of single spaces across campus. You will be matched with other first year students in living spaces.

Housing Contract and Profile

To help us assign students to housing, please complete the form on our Residence Life Portal by May 15, 2025. This form has two essential components:

  • Housing Contract: The Housing Contract outlines the rules and regulations for living on campus for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters, with the option to include summer 2026 if enrolled in courses. It is essential to read through this contract before signing it.
  • Housing Profile: On to the fun part! The profile is where we ask you to describe your living preferences so we can match students. Within this section, students will let us know how they like to keep their living space, if they’re a morning or evening person, their hobbies are, etc. It’s important to be honest!

Roommate Selection

Have someone you would like to live with? Or, interested in searching for a fellow first year student to room with? You’ll be able to do both within the Residence Life Portal before May 26, 2025.

Under “My Info” all students have the option to create a profile to share a bit about themselves with other potential roommates. Students often list hobbies, living habits, religious practice, and other characteristics important to them.

After completing the Housing Profile and Contract, visit the “Roommate Selection” section of the Residence Life Portal and select the “Fall 2025” term. You can search for a specific person (by first or last name) or search by criteria. You can send a roommate request, that can be accepted.

  • Students will only be able to find other students who have also completed the Housing Profile and Contract.
  • Students may request up to 3 people to room with, filling a 4-person space. If you have a fifth roommate in mind, please send us an email.
  • When requesting roommates, ALL requests must be mutually accepted. This means that if 4 people want to live together, every student must have accepted a roommate request from each of the other students. If requests are not mutual, the group will not be placed together.
  • All roommate requests must be made via the “Roommate Selection” section of the Residence Life portal. Requests will not be accepted via email or in the “notes” section of the portal.
  • What are “must haves” or expectations for your living space?
  • Would you like to use your living space to relax and study, entertain guests, or a combination of both?
  • How often would you like to have guests? Who might those guests be?
  • How do you keep or maintain your living space?
  • When do you wake up and go to bed? Are you a morning or evening shower person? How do you unwind after a long day?

We try our best to match students according to their Housing Profile form. Please know that assigning roommates based on race, religion, ethnicity or cultural background is a not something we can practice. Unless two students mutually request each other, we place individuals based on the preferences listed on the Housing Profile Form. We strive to create an environment where all members of the university can learn from each other. Our staff is here to help students get acclimated to the residence hall environment and be successful at MCPHS.

Office of Access and Accommodations

The Office of Student Access and Accommodations (OSAA) is a part of the Division of Student Affairs. It provides accommodations to students across all MCPHS campuses (Boston, Worcester, and Manchester) and online. Students eligible for accommodations must present documentation demonstrating evidence of a current condition that interferes with one or more major life functions as defined by the ADAA 2008 and/or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. We ask that students seeking an accommodation for housing work with OSAA before May 15, 2025.

Have questions about living on the MCPHS Boston campus? Contact the Admission Office at 617.732.5964 or admissions@mcphs.edu.

Living Off-Campus

MCPHS offers University sponsored housing to students through their second year of study. However, availability and eligibility can vary from year to year. The Residence Life Office provides resources to help support the off-campus housing search.

Log into the Off Campus Housing Portal to explore off-campus resource, apartment listings, roommate searches, and more.
