Activities and Events
Get social and relax at Colleges of the Fenway events, held throughout the year, including:
- COF Block Party – Kick off the new academic year at this annual event in early September. Join hundreds of COF students for food, giveaways, novelties, and vendors from across Boston.
- COF Leadership Conference and BIPOC Conference
- Ski Trips
- Spring Week – As the spring semester comes to a close, students enjoy springtime activities, including free novelties, a carnival, live bands, and comedians.
Center for Sustainability
The Colleges of the Fenway Center for Sustainability and the Environment is a collaboration of faculty, staff, and students. The group works together to enhance understanding of the complex issues of sustainability as they relate to natural resources and the environment. Past activities included an environmental forum, community service projects, and the annual Muddy River Symposium, which showcases student research on the Muddy River.
Cross-Registration
MCPHS students can cross register for course offerings at all of the universities within the Colleges of the Fenway. By cross-registering, a world of opportunity is available to you. Take a screen-printing course at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, a Japanese language class at Simmons University, or a specially-developed COF course called Work and American Culture.
Intramural Sports
Stay active - and make friends - by participating in intramural sports through the Colleges of the Fenway. Free to play, the events include players from across the six colleges in an array of traditional and non-traditional sports.
Intramural sports include: basketball, billiards, COF Triathlon, dodgeball, flag football, Great Race Boston, kickball, Madden ‘15, outdoor soccer, softball, tennis, Texas hold ‘em poker, ultimate frisbee, and volleyball.
Travel Abroad
Looking to travel or study abroad? The COF Global Education Opportunities (GEO) Center can guide you toward the right travel experience. Among the international opportunities available to MCPHS students are short-term travel courses, which are on campus, semester-long courses with a short-term travel component.
Performing Arts
Express yourself, gain new experiences, and grow your skillset – it’s all possible through the COF Performing Arts programs that include a wide range of activities including: dance ensemble, orchestra, chorus, theater troupe, jazz band, and performing art classes.
Religious Opportunities
The COF provides a wide variety of religious and supportive services to students of all religious backgrounds, including individual campus ministries, personal counseling, interfaith prayer groups, retreats, educational programs, and opportunities to volunteer in local agencies and projects.
