Transportation

Support to improve your commute.

Although Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ campus locations put you at the heart of the action for healthcare-related education, research, industry, and services, those bustling neighborhoods can complicate your commute. We address those challenges with a range of transportation-related benefits.

Through our transportation benefit program—the Qualified Transportation Expense Plan (QTEP), which is governed by the IRS—we offer benefits to eligible employees who regularly commute to and from campus. The plan allows you to pay for most or all of your share of commuting expenses with pre- and post-tax dollars through convenient payroll deductions that reduce your overall taxable income.

Eligible employees may choose to enroll in one of three transportation-related programs to assist with commuting to and from work. Employees also are eligible for discounted monthly MBTA pass, parking on campus (subject to availability), or bicycle commuting subsidy. Our employees also can take advantage of a number of benefits and resources through the Longwood Collective CommuteWorks program.
