New Employees

Welcome to the MPCHS community.

We’re delighted that you’ve chosen to join us at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. As at any top-tier university, you’ll find a vast array of exciting opportunities as well as a few procedures to learn. After all, each of us was a beginner at MCPHS culture when we started. That’s why we’ve created the New Hire Onboarding Task Checklist just for you.

New Hire Checklist

Pre-Arrival:

Before your first day, register for an account with ADP WorkforceNow to access and complete your Onboarding tasks and new hire paperwork, including the following electronic documents:

  • Tax Withholding
  • Direct Deposit
  • Emergency Contacts
  • Review and acknowledge Required Notices
  • Review and acknowledge the Employee Handbook and other University policies

On or before your first day, complete Section One of your Form I-9 upon receiving an email invitation from WorkBright. You can complete this requirement either via a mobile device or a computer.

  • You will select and upload documents that confirm your citizenship status and sign the form digitally.
  • In WorkBright, you will be presented with the opportunity to select someone from your personal network (a friend, family member, or colleague) who must be 18 years of age or older to review the original documents in person with you to complete Section Two. This step must be completed no later than three business days after your start date.

To help navigate this process we recommend watching the following videos.

You will receive an email to the personal email you used in your employment application from Help.Desk@mcphs.edu with your MCPHS network account information and a temporary password. If you have not received your MCPHS account letter, check your junk mail first in case it may be there, and if not, please email Help.Desk@mcphs.edu.

  • Once you receive your MCPHS email credentials, watch for an email in your MCPHS email account from the Help Desk titled “MCPHS ID Photo Submission.” Your MCPHS ID badge photo can only be submitted using the link from the email.
  • After the ID photo is submitted, create a Help Desk ticket by visiting https://mcphs.service-now.com. You will be notified when your ID badge is ready for pickup. The badge instructions are also included on your account letter.

Review the Intranet: After you receive your MCPHS ID from the Help Desk, you will have access to the University intranet (“My MCPHS”) where you can explore University and departmental information.

Transportation Benefits: Please visit the Transportation Benefits page (requires login using MCPHS ID).

  • If you require on-campus parking, Complete the parking request form for your campus and return it to the appropriate contact. You will be notified if parking is available. On-campus parking is subject to availability. The cost for parking is subject to change and is deducted from your paycheck on a pre-tax basis, up to IRS limits. The monthly cost is pro-rated for participants in carpools and/or those who park on campus less than 5 days per week.
  • If you require a monthly MBTA pass, Complete the appropriate MBTA Enrollment Form and return it to payroll@mcphs.edu. Please be advised that the enrollment deadline is the 10th of the month for the following month’s pass. The cost is subject to change and is deducted on a pre-tax and/or post-tax basis, up to IRS limits.
