Thesis and Dissertation Guidelines

MSc and PhD Students

  • The Library works with you to publish and preserve your thesis/dissertation.

Student Submitting Master’s Thesis

A student submitting a Master’s Thesis must provide the following:

  • One copy of your thesis as a PDF document. The title page must have signatures.
  • Thesis Receipt Form [PDF]
    • Fill in your name on the appropriate line.
    • If you would like to hold your thesis from circulation due to sensitive information or pending publication, complete the box at the bottom of the form. Your Research Advisor must sign this box. The maximum embargo time is one year.
  • Institutional Repository Non-Exclusive Deposit License

Student Submitting Dissertation

A student submitting a Dissertation must provide the following:

  • One copy of your dissertation as a PDF document (title page must have signatures).
  • One unsigned copy of the Title page.
  • Dissertation Receipt Form
    • Fill in your name on the appropriate line.
    • If you would like to hold your dissertation from circulation due to sensitive information or pending publication, complete the box at the bottom of the form. Your Research Advisor must sign this box. Maximum embargo time is one year.
  • Institutional Repository Non-Exclusive Deposit License
  • PROQUEST/UMI Agreement, the form must include your signature to be valid. MCPHS pays for the cost of traditional publishing only.
