This 16-month program—designed for associate’s or bachelor’s degree holders and transfer students—will prepare you to qualify as an entry-level sonographer with a strong foundation in abdomen-extended and obstetrics and gynecology sonography.

Capture Images That Have the Power to Save Lives

In this 16-month immersive program at our Worcester campus, you will work in clinical settings alongside professional experts at renowned medical facilities in New England and beyond. Building on your previous college coursework, your bachelor’s degree will give you a strong foundation in abdominal and obstetric/gynecological sonography. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to sit for national registry exams in abdomen and obstetrics and gynecology offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). The program starts in the fall.

Your 16-Month Journey

First-Year Experience

  • explore the intricacies of diagnostic medical sonography and advanced scanning techniques
  • learn the physics and instrumentation of sonography and sonography lab procedures, including abdominal, obstetrics, and gynecological sonography
  • study clinical sonography and sonographic analysis
  • gain insights into problem solving in physics and instruments
  • complete your first sonography internship

Second-Year Experience

  • participate in a semester-long seminar in sonography
  • complete your second sonography internship
