This two-year program, year-round program—designed for transfer students and bachelor’s degree holders—will prepare you to qualify as an entry-level sonographer with options to concentrate in abdomen-extended and obstetrics and gynecology sonography.

Capture Images That Have the Power to Save Lives

In this 24-month immersive program at our Boston campus, you will work in clinical settings alongside professional experts at renowned medical facilities in New England and beyond. Your bachelor’s degree will give you a strong foundation in abdominal and obstetric/gynecological sonography as well as knowledge in breast, pediatric, musculoskeletal, and vascular medical imaging. You also will gain an in-depth understanding of internal human anatomy. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to sit for national registry exams in abdomen and obstetrics and gynecology offered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). The program starts in the fall.

Your 24-Month Journey

First-Year Experience

  • explore the intricacies of diagnostic medical sonography
  • learn the physics and instrumentation of sonography and sonography lab procedures, including abdominal, obstetrics/gynecological, breast, and vascular sonography
  • build a thorough knowledge of sonographic laboratory procedures
  • gain insights into problem-solving in physics and instruments

Second-Year Experience

  • learn the essentials of interpersonal communication for health professionals
  • build a thorough knowledge of healthcare ethics and how to apply clinical thinking in sonography
  • study pediatric and musculoskeletal sonography
  • complete multiple clinical sonography internships
  • gain insights into advanced problem-solving in sonography
