About
Dr. Xie joined MCPHS in 2010 as the Program Director of the University’s two chemistry programs. She is committed to helping student succeed, and currently teaches Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and related courses, while doing research with undergraduate and graduate students at the University. Dr. Xie’s research interest is in organic synthesis of small organic molecules. She has taken many research students to attend the American Chemical Society National Meetings. Dr. Xie was the recipient of the 2022 Trustees’ Award for Excellence in Student-Faculty Research Collaboration at MCPHS. In addition, Dr. Xie has served as a career consultant for the American Chemical Society since 2008 and will serve as the college mentor for the US National Chemistry Olympiad for 2023-2025.
