About

Katie Carey is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at MCPHS, passionate about teaching evidence-based medicine and supporting students in their academic and professional growth. She serves as the course coordinator for the Drug Literature Evaluation and Informatics course series, guiding students in the critical analysis of medical literature.

Dedicated to helping students pursue postgraduate opportunities, Carey co-chairs the Postgraduate Education Committee at the School of Pharmacy–Worcester/Manchester. She is committed to mentoring students who aspire to secure residency and fellowship positions.

At her clinical practice site, Carey works in ambulatory care, focusing on optimizing pharmacotherapy for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity. This role allows her to build meaningful connections with patients while collaborating with medical providers and healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Carey’s teaching and clinical practice are rooted in a commitment to evidence-based care and mentorship, preparing the next generation of pharmacists for successful careers.
