About
Valerie Coppenrath was born and raised south of Detroit. She completed her undergraduate work at Ferris State University and earned her PharmD from Wayne State University in 2007. She matched at Boston Medical Center for her PGY1 residency and stayed there to complete a PGY2 in Ambulatory Care. Valerie joined MCPHS in 2009 and first practiced at the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Worcester. In 2016, she moved her practice site to Fitchburg Family Practice, which is part of the UMass Family Medicine Residency Program. At the University, she co-coordinates Student Personal and Professional Development I, Drug Literature Evaluation I and II, and Capstone. Valerie loves reading, hiking, skiing, and playing tennis, as well as staying home with her husband and two young children.
