Develop the Skill to Deliver Precise and Compassionate Treatment

During this 24-month fast-track program on our Boston campus, you will develop the technical and interpersonal skills to help patients fight cancer with radiation therapy. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experts during clinical experiences in prestigious area medical facilities. And you will build the expertise to support patients, their families, and other members of their patient-care teams. When you graduate, you’ll be eligible to sit for certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The program begins in the summer semester.

Your 24-Month Journey

This year-round, fast-track program allows you to leverage your existing knowledge to become a vital member of the patient-care community.

First-Year Experience

  • build a strong foundation of knowledge of radiation therapy, radiation protection and biology, and medical radiation physics
  • explore the application of healthcare delivery, healthcare ethics, clinical care, and interpersonal communication
  • study statistics, clinical pathophysiology, physics, and treatment planning

Second-Year Experience

  • study brachytherapy and hyperthermia and radiation therapy quality assurance
  • prepare to pass the board exam by participating in radiation therapy registration review
  • complete three semester-long internships in radiation therapy
