About
Dr. McNicol earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS Boston in 2016 and serves as an advanced practitioner in ambulatory pain management at Atrius Health in Boston.
He has co-coordinated the Drug Literature Evaluation course in the PharmD program and the Pharmacology course in the PA program, as well as contributed to the development of the Pain Certificate Program for the School of Professional Studies. Dr. McNicol has also chaired the Academic Standing Committee for the past three years.
An expert in pain management, Dr. McNicol conducts evidence-based reviews of analgesic interventions and outcomes for pain and related conditions. He is widely published in scientific journals, serves as a field editor for Cochrane, and is an editor for the Journal of Pain & Palliative Care Pharmacotherapy. He collaborates with major pain organizations to develop international guidelines.
