About

Dr. Mimi Mukherjee has been working in the diabetes mellitus field for over 20 years. She is an enthusiastic educator who believes the more you know, the more knowledge you can pass on to others. Her approach to patient care is holistic, with an understanding that there are many reasons for medication non-adherence and falling short on health-related goals. Within the required components of the PharmD curriculum, she primarily teaches in the Pharmacotherapeutics course series and Pharmacy Ethics. She also teaches an elective course which uses interviews, literature, simulation, and other formats to help students develop empathy for their patients. Dr. Mukherjee believes in learning about and sharing non-pharmacologic wellness and resilience strategies with her students and patients to support their mental and physical health.

DEI Expertise: In addition to Dr. Mukherjee's teaching at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Dr. Mukherjee provides comprehensive medication management services to a multilingual, multicultural and underserved population of patients at her clinical practice site, the Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. She also has been teaching and conducting research in the area of LGBTQ+ health education.
