About

Dr. Tallon's fundamental research interests are investigating the complex interplay of how environmental and social conditions interact to affect health. Her projects and publications include research on the effects of air pollution, neighborhood features like greenspace, and lifestyle on measures of cognitive function, mental health, and vascular disease. She recently investigated the health impacts of climate change policies on different populations for the Carbon Free Boston initiative, and is currently researching the use of personal air monitors to empower local environmental justice communities. Her past experience at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Harvard, and the University of North Carolina includes work in medical marijuana, emergency preparedness, and water quality. She loves to work on collaborative projects with students, faculty, and community organizations on a variety of topics.
