About
Dr. Graham has experience teaching in the areas of sociology, social determinants of health cultural awareness, health program planning, environmental health, metacognition, and self-awareness. Dr. Graham worked for five years as a consultant for the not-for-profit organization,
CommunityBuild. While there, Dr. Graham worked with numerous community organizations and public officials to implement and evaluate health promotion programs.
In addition, she has experience working with diverse and underserved populations. For over 15 years, Dr. Graham has taught community-focused courses that provide students real world opportunities to learn. In her teaching she draws from the adult learning theory and the social and cognitive constructivism theory to utilize learner-centered teaching techniques as a means to elicit meaningful learning outcomes
