About

Dr. Carroll-Ann Goldsmith is a Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at MCPHS–Manchester, where she teaches physiology and pathophysiology. She earned a BA in Zoology, magna cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire, an MS in Science Communication from Boston University, and a DSc in Cell Biology from Harvard University, where she studied the effects of air pollution particles on the lung.

Her professional experience includes conducting environmental toxicology research at Harvard University, investigating the genetic basis of autoimmune diseases at Boston’s Center for Blood Research, and curating a mouse genetics database at Jackson Laboratory.

Dr. Goldsmith's current research focuses on the importance of prevention in health. She has received multiple honors, including the Campus Compact for New Hampshire Presidents’ Good Steward Award, the MCPHS Trustees’ Award for Teaching, and the MCPHS Faculty Scholarship and Long-Term Service Awards.
