A Better Future for Patients
It started when our founders committed themselves to establishing the second school of pharmacy in the nation 200 years ago. The 14 apothecaries involved shared a concern about the lack of regulation in their field and decided to do something about it. They could picture a better future for patients.
Our Community members continue to take the same approach today. We nurture visionaries who find ways to help patients – as individual caregivers and at scale. MCPHS agents of change work in their respective fields and beyond to improve the way our healthcare system works. The boundaries they’re pushing are expanding our reach both geographically and across new disciplines.
What began as a commuter school of pharmacy 200 years ago is now a global powerhouse in health and life sciences education. But our sense of purpose remains the same. No matter where healthcare goes next, we will continue to prepare leaders to serve the greater good with a deep sense of humanity.
