Bachelor of Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (BS)—Fast Track

This 16-month program—designed for associate’s- or bachelor’s-degree holders and transfer students—will prepare you to produce diagnostic images of contrast and clarity using your knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and MRI principles.

Excel at State-of-the-Art Medical Imaging

This fast track 16-month program at our Boston campus combines online courses and in-person courses with clinical internship opportunities in prestigious Boston area medical facilities. Our year-round format—which recognizes MRI as a distinct imaging discipline— gives you the benefit of an immersive education and speeds your career launch. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to sit for registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. The program starts in the spring. If you have prior certification in the radiologic sciences (ARRT/NMTCB certification), consider our Advanced Medical Imaging certificates.

Your 16-Month Journey

Gain critical knowledge and insights from faculty who are experts in the field as you train using the latest technologies.

First-Year Experience

  • develop expertise in MRI procedures, safety, and applications as well as the physical principles of MRI and MRI patient care and experience
  • gain insights into MRI production and evaluation
  • explore concepts in health psychology, death and dying, interpersonal communication, and healthcare delivery
  • study infection prevention and control (IPC), clinical pathophysiology, and cross-sectional anatomy
  • complete your first and second clinical internships
  • build a thorough knowledge of healthcare ethics

Second-Year Experience

  • gain insights into MRI pathology
  • complete your third clinical internship
  • participate in a registry review
