The Health Informatics (MS) program at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) is geared towards entry to mid-level employees in healthcare organizations who are interested in leveraging informatics, data analytics, and health technology to improve healthcare outcomes and patient care.
The widespread digitization of health records is changing healthcare delivery, but only if that data is collected, organized, and interpreted into meaningful insights. It is the role of professionals trained in health informatics to provide these insights and foster interprofessional collaboration and communication in team-based care so providers can make the best, data-driven decisions.
This 30-credit online program has two components: core courses and specializations. You can choose a focus in Clinical Informatics and Collaborative Practice or Health Data Analytics and Applied Technology. Both tracks prepare graduates for leadership and management roles as they will understand how to leverage health informatics to benefit both their organization and the greater healthcare profession.
