School of Pharmacy Worcester/Manchester Holds Postgraduate Welcome Reception
The Postgraduate Training Committee, in conjunction with the MCPHS Worcester-Manchester Student Society of Health-System Pharmacy, hosted their second annual Postgraduate Welcome Reception on July 30 at the Borysek Living & Learning Center. The event brought together fellows and residents to celebrate their ventures in postgraduate training. This year’s reception attracted more than 50 attendees, including representatives from UMass Memorial Medical Center, St. Vincent Hospital, Bay State Medical Center, Walgreens, Biogen Idec, Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Genzyme, and Clinical Pharmacology Study Group. Michael J. Malloy, Dean of the School of Pharmacy Worcester/Manchester and Executive Director of the Worcester campus, offered opening remarks, and Matthew Silva, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, called on members from each program to share their experiences. The second half of the event featured a presentation by Shuli Xu, Assistant Dean of Students, and tours of the Worcester campus.
