Scholarships & Grants
Merit-Based
MCPHS currently offers several merit scholarships for freshmen only. All awards are based on academics, regardless of financial need. There is no separate application for these awards; merit scholarships are automatically awarded at the time of admission. Additionally, these awards automatically are renewed each year provided students maintain continuous full-time enrollment and meet a specified grade point average (see award description for specific GPA). Please note the SAT qualifications are based on the combined score from the Critical Reading and Mathematics sections only.
Please note: International Students (with the exception of Canadian citizens) are NOT eligible to receive merit scholarships.
- Applicants to the Doctor of Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management, and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs are eligible to receive one merit-based scholarship.
- The Dean’s Achievement Award is available to freshmen who qualify and who have applied for admission for one of the following programs: Dental Hygiene, Nursing, Radiologic Sciences, Physician Assistant Studies, Premedical and Health Studies, Chemistry, and Health Psychology.
- The Dean’s Achievement Award may be awarded to students who qualify for the Academic Achievement or College Merit Award only. Students who qualify for either the Presidential Scholar or the Canadian Achievement Awards receive just the one scholarship.
- Merit scholarships will not be changed based on additional test scores or adjusted GPA subsequent to the admission decision.
